NAIDOC Week

Held across the country from 7-14 July 2024, NAIDOC Week will celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, is Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud.

We will be acknowledging this week, with a whole school Liturgy on Thursday 11th July, at 9am. Our students will have a lively, interactive show which has enthralled audiences all around Australia and overseas by guest Dion Drummond. Dion is one of Australia’s most experienced Indigenous performers, covering both Mainland and Islander cultures as a dancer, singer and storyteller. In his dynamic, high energy performances, Dion shares tales, language and artefacts from both of his cultures, teaching students about the different traditions of his Torres Strait Island and Aboriginal Indigenous heritage.
