At Guardian Angels, our Year 5 and Year 6 Leadership Program stands out as a model of excellence within Brisbane Catholic Education. This program is designed to empower young leaders, fostering skills such as teamwork, communication, and responsibility. Through various activities and initiatives, students learn to take on leadership roles, engage with their community, and make a positive impact. All year 5 and 6 students are our school leaders, and we are proud to nurture the next generation of leaders in an enriching environment.
Our aim is to provide our students with authentic leadership experiences within a Franciscan framework, that encompasses our LIVE the GA Way. Through Gospel inquiry students will be provided with opportunities:
- to see (head): identify their leadership identity
- to act (hands): live our motto 'To Achieve Life'
- to connect (heart): enable a rich relationship with God.
Our leadership program will teach and model leadership skills such as listening, problem-solving, working in teams, unpacking friendship to appreciate people's differences, setting and tracking goals, effective communication. Giving each student the responsibility to make a difference in the classroom and school by serving others to make a contribution to our school community, that provides our leaders with a sense of purpose.
